Carolyn Chan has over 25 years of Human Capital career experience in Asia. Her previous roles include partnering with over 500 senior leaders of Fortune 500 companies in Leadership Development, Executive Search and Coaching. She is passionate about Global Board Diversity, Cultural Awareness and Women in Leadership.
Most recently, Carolyn was the Managing Partner for the Chief Human Resource Officers practice at Heidrick & Struggles. Prior, she was Head of Training and Recruitment at Walmart’s Global Sourcing organization in Shenzhen China. Carolyn was part of the pioneer team to establish business development with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) in Asia. She held the position of Director for Strategic Partnerships and Alliances/Client Relations working closely with large organizations to develop customized leadership development programs, learning interventions and coaching engagements to build more effective leadership and teams.
Other organizations she has worked include: AT Kearney, Associated Merchandising Corp. and Esprit De Corp.
Carolyn obtained her MBA from University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts.
Carolyn is certified in Gallup Strengthsfinder, CCL Coaching Certification, Corporate Coach U’s Executive Coaching, Benchmarks 360, CPI260, Workplace Big 5, MBTI – Step I & II, FiroB, DISC assessments.
In addition to living and working in Singapore, Carolyn has experience in Hong Kong, New York and is originally from Boston. She is married with two teenage sons.
Language fluency includes English, Cantonese with working knowledge of Mandarin.
